Article I
Name, Nature, and Affiliation
1.1.
The name of the organization shall be the Ethiopian Psychology Students' Association, hereinafter referred to as "EPSA" or "the Association".
1.2.
EPSA is a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious national student organization operating across universities in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
1.3.
The Association is officially recognized as the national student wing of the Ethiopian Psychologists' Association (EPA) and conducts its operations in alignment with the ethical guidelines and professional standards established by the EPA.
Article II
Aims and Objectives
2.1.
The primary mandate of EPSA is to unify psychology students across Ethiopian higher education institutions under a single, collaborative ecosystem.
2.2.
The Association shall pursue the following specific objectives:
- To safeguard the academic and professional interests of psychology students.
- To facilitate knowledge exchange, national conferences, and professional development training.
- To administer Mock Licensure Examinations to prepare students for the national competency assessments.
- To raise mental health awareness within the wider Ethiopian community through organized outreach.
Article III
The General Assembly (GA)
3.1.
The General Assembly is the supreme legislative and policy-making body of EPSA, composed of all registered and verified student members.
3.2.
The GA shall convene at least once annually for the Ordinary National Congress. Extraordinary sessions may be called by a two-thirds majority of the National Executive Board.
3.3.
Resolutions of the GA, including constitutional amendments and the election of national officers, require a simple majority vote of the members present and voting, provided a quorum is established.
Article IV
National Executive Board (NEB)
4.1.
The National Executive Board (NEB) acts as the highest executive organ of EPSA between General Assemblies, entrusted with the day-to-day administration of the Association.
4.2.
The NEB shall consist of the President, Vice President, Secretary General, Financial Officer, and the Directors of standing committees.
4.3.
Members of the NEB are elected by the General Assembly for a term of one academic year, renewable once. Only active students in their second year of study or above are eligible for NEB positions.
Article V
National Representative Council (NRC)
5.1.
The National Representative Council (NRC) serves as the deliberative and oversight body representing the local chapters of EPSA at constituent universities.
5.2.
Each recognized university chapter shall elect and dispatch exactly two delegates to the NRC.
5.3.
The NRC is responsible for reviewing the NEB's quarterly reports, approving the annual budget, and ensuring that national initiatives align with local chapter capacities.
